Hashknife Energy Center hosts training for local first responders

Invenergy's Hashknife Energy Center team hosted Phase 1 of a 2-part training series for local first responders around the project site. Representatives from the Joseph City Fire District, Navajo County Emergency Management, Winslow EMS, the Little Colorado Medical Center, and Show Low Dispatchers attended the event.

At the training, the Invenergy team and the Fire & Risk Alliance shared an overview of the project, more information about battery energy storage systems (BESS), and the appropriate response procedures in the unlikely event of an incident at the facility. Part 2 of the training will occur in Spring 2026, covering Invenergy's Emergency Response Plan and a tour of the site.

Safety is Invenergy's top priority. Trainings like these ensure that we are best able to protect our employees and host communities. Thank you to the Navajo County first responders!
